Out of Touch

Yes, I realize I am well over a month behind, but with good reason.

We moved at the end of February, from Northeast Oklahoma to Central Tennessee.

I plan on getting back on track with posting here, but I am on dial-up and my house is twice as big, so cleaning takes twice as long, and SPRING is also around the corner, so because of that I'm going to be spending a great deal of time outside, working on a garden! I'm having to start my garden from scratch again this year, so three times the work in a tenth of the time, but I'll get it done...it just means I'll be neglecting this for yet a few more weeks, so do not despair, I will be returning. :D

I almost forgot...I do have a pic of the new house I can share.

Compare that to "My Little Yellow House".

Day 106.5 Work of Art part Duex

The mess was created by a new bottle of chocolate syrup that was left where she could get it...

Day 106 - A Work of Art

Somehow I put her to bed after a bath, she was squeaky clean and in jammies....this is how she woke up.

She did clean up decently...ish....

Day 89 - (almost) Spring, Covered in Snow...again

To think my daffodils starting popping up, we'd only been without snow for a week...even nature is tired of winter!

Day 85 - Peanut Butter Thief

She was so proud of herself too...had to come sit in my lap and show me what she'd accomplished, although she wasn't too pleased when I took it away from her...

Day 84 - Naptime

Actually it was close to dinnertime and she'd FLAT out refused to take a nap, so I was planning on an easy bedtime...she didn't make it even til dinnertime...and was awake by bedtime...a very long night indeed!

Day 76 - Another Sighting

Of one of the local bald eagles. Not the best picture, as I noticed as it was flying over head and it was quickly gliding off into the distance...but I am starting to take my camera outside with me on a regular basis, with the hope that I can get a good picture of it one of these days. :)

Day 74 - Turn Up the Volume!

When life acts up, throw on some music, turn up the volume, & dance! ....Or in Mikaila's case - sing!

I don't have any new pictures, that I'm aware of to share, so I decided to share what I have been working on today. I just use Picasa to make my collages and glam up my pictures.

Day 67 - Snow Scenes from around the State

I did not take these pictures, but did find them to be absolutely beautiful! They were taken around the state, during the "Oklahoma Blizzard of 2009" and I wished to share them with you! I did crop or clear up most of them, which is why my watermark is on all of them.

A frozen creek bed:Snow drifted grass:

Frozen Footprints:
Oil Rig:
Icy Tree
Fountain:
Snowdrift:
This is one of my most coveted, favorite natural "phenomenons". There is a LOT of water just under the surface of the ground here, often the water just keeps the ground wet, under the surface, BUT when the ground freezes the water makes its "escape". Often the water is forced up from the ground by very high pressure, once it reaches the freezing temps of the air it freezes, most of these icicles "grow" up from the ground, as the water pushes its way out, the ice statues just get taller and taller.

Snow drifts, being blown by the wind, if it was tan it could almost be mistaken for sand.
